School Uniform
Summer uniform can now be worn .Polo shirts are available from the School Office priced at just £5 each. Stocks are very limited.
 
For further information regarding our uniform policy and expectations, please refer to your child's diary or the information pack given to you when your child began attending the school. You may also contact the school directly. Failure to comply will lead to school sanctions.

Summer Examinations timetable
Year 10 and 11 students have been given a copy of their individual timetable and the overall school exam timetable, a copy of which is available here.

Fundraising update
Our nominated charity this year is the Teenage Cancer Trust - please see this
fundraising guide for details of the work that they do.
 
At Christmas and New Year, students and staff managed to raise a phenomenal £986.00.  Our latest Charity Day was on Wednesday 2nd April 2014, we will update our fundraising total as soon as possible.
  
Some of our students took part in a sponsored bag pack at Sainsbury's in New Barnet on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April 2014 to raise further funds for the charity.

Education of children and young people in Barnet schools
Barnet Council has published a short report for parents and carers about the achievements of children and young people in Barnet schools. The report also tells you where you can find out more. The council is keen to know what you think about the report.

Sainsbury's Active Kids 2014
We are once again collecting Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers. Please try to collect as many as possible, as the scheme helps us to buy additional sporting equipment for our students. Please also ask friends, relatives and neighbours to collect them too. Vouchers should be handed in to the school office. The scheme runs until 20th May 2014.
 
Year 11 Yearbook
We are pleased to announce that there will be a Year 11 yearbook this year. For more information, please see this letter that was sent home on 27th January 2014.
 
Jack Petchey's Speak Out Challenge
Congratulations to Desai Callum-Clarke, who  finished in third place in the regional final of Jack Petchey's Speak Out Challenge at East Barnet School on Wednesday 29th January. We are all very proud of her!

Safer Internet Day Parental Link
Tuesday 11th February was Safer Internet Day. St. Mary’s students receive a lot of information and guidance regarding safer internet practice. There is some excellent guidance for parents and carers too by the UK Safer Internet Centre. Parent Governor Appointments
Mr Andy Pierre and Mrs Olubunmi Adeogun are the elected Parent Governors for the final years of St Mary's High School Governing Body.
 
Examination Certificates Available for Collection
Summer 2013 Examination Certificates are available for collection from the main reception in Downage. If you need someone else to collect your certificates, please provide them with a letter signed by you which gives them permission to collect your certificates on your behalf. If you are unable to collect, please contact the Examinations Officer on exams@st-maryshigh.barnet.sch.uk to make an alternative arrangement.
Some certificates from 2012 are still uncollected; if you did not collect your certificates, please email us so we can check if we have yours before you visit.
