St Mary's Got Talent - The Results! 12-Dec-2011
St Mary's Got Talent was a huge success, raising £350 for Whizz Kids, a charity for disabled children which Mr Gillo is supporting by running the London Marathon again next year. The judges had a really hard time making their decisions, but in the end Chandani Punjawani (Year 7) won third place with her Bollywood dancing, Guilly Massone (Year 9) came in second for his amazing piano playing, and Elizabeth Osunsami (Year 11) won overall with her brilliant rendition of Adele's Someone Like You. St Mary's Community Involvement & Contribution Project Launches! 30-Nov-2011
We are really pleased to announce the launch of our first Community project of this year. The aim is to involve more of our students in our local Community, which is good for their personal and social development but will also help our neighbours and local residents to meet our students and interact with them on a positive level. We are working with Barnet Homes to support the environment around several of their sheltered housing for the elderly premises in our local area. We will start with Derby House which is just across the road from Downage. Our team of eighteen volunteers from Years 7/8/9 met with some of the residents for tea on Monday 14th and will help to maintain the frontage clear and safe by clearing away leaves, moss and debris. We have also been allocated a large flower bed which we can clear, design and plant ourselves....
